What is a Mini MBA?

A Mini MBA is an intensive business education programme that provides many of the core concepts taught on a traditional MBA, but in a shorter, more practical and accessible format.

Rather than taking years to complete, a Mini MBA is designed for busy professionals who want to develop their commercial knowledge, strategic thinking and leadership skills alongside their day job.

The RTS Mini MBA in TV & Streaming Media is unique because it applies these business principles specifically to the television and streaming industry. It explores how the industry works, how value is created, and the commercial, strategic and financial decisions that shape its future.

Whether you work in commissioning, production, distribution, technology, marketing, finance or another part of the TV ecosystem, the course is designed to help you understand the bigger picture, make better business decisions and think like a leader.

How do I enrol for the RTS Mini MBA and when can I start?

You can enrol for the RTS Mini MBA by clicking on the link at the top of this page. Choose to register for yourself and get going as soon as you're ready - the course is rolling all year round. What purchase options are available?

You can experience the course in three ways:

  • Complete the full Mini MBA, and all 25 learning modules, for the most comprehensive learning experience
  • Focus your learning on an individual stream, each comprising a series of modules focused on a different area of the industry
  • Build your own learning journey with individual modules: pick the modules you need, when you need them

How much does the RTS Mini MBA cost?

The price of the full RTS Mini MBA is £3,250 (including VAT) per person. If you would like to discuss a group booking, please get in touch - corporate packages are available on request.

Individual modules are priced at £175 (including VAT).
We are currently offering Module 1: Ecology of TV and Module 2: Business Models as a bundle for £250 (including VAT).

For those purchasing individual streams, pricing is as follows:

Is there any face-to-face teaching?

The course is delivered online and on-demand, so that learners can complete modules at their own pace.

Course benefits for those studying the Full Mini MBA or Streams

All learners studying the full course or a stream will be invited to attend our live special-topic webinars with industry experts. We host around four of these throughout the year and they are recorded for those who cannot attend. Alums are also welcome to attend.

We also bring together learners, graduates and course contributors for quarterly networking events.

Is there any funding support available?

We are delighted to announce that ScreenSkills have just opened a scheme to support senior professionals working within Unscripted TV. You must be working at an expert level to apply for a bursary of £2,000 towards the cost of the course. The scheme is open to both freelancers and those in contracted roles.
