Course Schedule and Content

Schedule

The RTS Mini MBA consists of approximately 80 hours of learning, spread across 24 distinctive modules.

The first module will open for enrolment on Monday 17th March, with subsequent modules released every Wednesday. This will give participants the chance to learn together, as there’s nothing better than the shared experience of appointment viewing. Each module will take around 2 – 3 hours to complete. If you sign up after Monday 17th March, you will be able to access all modules available to date. The modules must be completed in sequence and finishing one module will unlock the next.

There is a progression bar that tracks your completion percentage. As you will be studying independently, you are responsible for your own progress. You do not need to complete each module in one sitting, and you will be able to log in and out at any time to resume.

Content

There is a variety of course material and much of it is interactive. There are exclusive interviews with over 80 contributors, high-profile case studies, discussions, interactive exercises and practical assessments.

This is a multimedia course that includes the following:

  • Video - involves watching a video and discussing what you’ve seen. There is the option to watch at 1.25x speed or 1.5x speed and to toggle on subtitles by clicking 'CC' on the lower right hand side of each video. You are encouraged to use the video speed controls to self-pace through the course.
  • Discussion - shows you a prompt – usually a statement or question – and invites you to discuss it with your peers.
  • Interactive exercise - takes you through a short challenge designed to enhance your skills.
  • Poll - invites you to vote on a multiple choice response, and discuss the options and results.
  • Quiz - allows you to check your understanding by answering a multiple choice question, reordering phrases, or entering words or short phrases into a textbox

Case Studies

The Mini MBA includes several high-profile case studies, set apart from the modules, where you can apply your learning to practical, real-world scenarios. These include Nick Herm on the evolution of Sky’s Business Model, Fremantle’s Amelia Brown on the Got Talent format, and producer Lis Steel and VP of Production Anthony Smith on high-end scripted drama A Gentleman in Moscow.

The Director’s Cut: additional reading and resources
